AI Fundamentals

Machine Learning (ML)

A type of AI that improves automatically by learning from data rather than following manually written rules. The more data it sees, the better it gets.

How It Works (Simply)

Traditional software follows rules a programmer wrote: "if the invoice total is over $10,000, flag it for review." Machine learning flips this — instead of writing rules, you show it thousands of examples and it figures out the patterns itself.

Why It Matters

Machine learning is what makes AI systems get smarter over time. A no-show prediction system doesn't just follow a checklist — it learns from your specific appointment history which patients are likely to cancel.
